We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic voice specialist to join our dynamic and supportive Music Department . This fixed-term, part-time position (up to 0.4 FTTE) will commence at the start of term 1, 2026 (January 28) and conclude at the end of term 4, 2026 . With the possibility of future employment based on student needs moving forward.

The successful applicant will provide individual and small-group tuition for students in Y11–13 , supporting both the development of vocal technique and preparation for NCEA music assessments and performance groups .

A successful candidate will demonstrate :

• Proven experience as a voice teacher , ideally at the secondary school level
• The ability to prepare and motivate students for NCEA performance standards
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• The ability to collaborate with classroom teachers and contribute to the wider performing arts culture of the school
• A commitment to culturally sustaining practice and supporting Māori and Pacific ākonga
• A desire to honour obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

This is a fixed-term, part-time position (up to 0.4 FTTE) for the 2026 academic year.

Hours are negotiable and will be determined by student numbers, the applicant’s musical strengths, experience, and teaching availability.
