Agronomy Technician

We are now part of the global seed company, DLF, headquartered in Denmark.

We service both New Zealand and global markets, encompassing all facets of the seed market, from research and development through to seed supply and on-farm support.

PGG Wrightson Seeds has a permanent part-time position available for an Agronomy Technician to join their team in Ruakura, Hamilton.

This position is 16 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Assist the forage research team including planning, implementation and reporting of forage trials throughout the Waikato region.

Perform field operations and support general farm activities.

Conduct statistical analysis of agronomy data and produce scientific reports.

Desired attributes

Tertiary qualified in an agricultural related discipline or recent and relevant experience in a similar role.

Sound knowledge of, and a genuine interest in, plants, agriculture and farming.

Commitment to working in a research and development field.

Understanding of farm systems in New Zealand and how our products can add value.
