Territory Manager – Auckland & Northland
Location : Based at NZ Branch, Penrose (Auckland) — Frequent travel across Auckland and Northland required
Reporting to : National Sales Manager
Do you thrive on building strong customer relationships, driving sales growth, and delivering water solutions that matter? Davey Water New Zealand is seeking an energetic and results-driven Territory Manager to manage and expand our presence across Auckland and Northland.
About the Role
Based at our Penrose branch, you’ll travel extensively to manage and grow our established customer network—including dealers, merchants, and key accounts—while also identifying new business opportunities. You’ll be the face of Davey in the region, combining sales expertise and technical product knowledge to deliver outstanding results for both our customers and our business.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and grow a customer portfolio in Auckland & Northland, identify new business opportunities, and maintain robust pipelines through regular customer visits.
- Develop and execute sales strategies , call cycles, and sales plans to achieve territory budgets and targets.
- Build strong relationships with existing and new customers, leveraging your network and proactive outreach, including cold calling where required.
- Provide technical support and problem-solving for customers, offering solutions and on-site assessments as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams in sales, technical support, marketing, product development, and operations to deliver tailored client solutions.
- Regularly report on sales activity, opportunities, and pipeline using Salesforce (Nexus) and other company systems.
- Champion safety and sustainability —always ensuring compliance with company policy and workplace legislation.
- Support Davey Water’s reputation as the trusted brand for water pumps and solutions across New Zealand.
What You Bring
Proven B2B or technical sales experience—ideally in water, pumps, trades, plumbing, agriculture, or related technical product fields (minimum 5 years).Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills across a broad range of stakeholders.Demonstrated record of delivering on growth targets and managing a dynamic customer portfolio.Ability to work autonomously, set priorities, and manage multiple tasks.Computer proficiency (MS Office; Salesforce / Nexus knowledge an advantage).Commitment to workplace health and safety values.Full NZ driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly.What’s on Offer
