Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled
Draftsperson
to support the delivery of high-quality project solutions through accurate, efficient, and visually clear drafting and 3D modelling.
This role is central to our in-house technical capability, supporting both estimating and operations teams to deliver projects that align with client expectations, methodologies, and real-world practicality.
Key Responsibilities
Creating 2D and 3D models, technical drawings, and layouts from sketches, scopes, or specifications
Producing visual representations of installation methodologies for tenders and execution planning
Supporting estimators with technical drawings and detail to strengthen proposals
Visiting client sites to collect measurements and develop concept sketches
Reviewing and updating drawings based on feedback or site changes
Contributing to the improvement of our CAD library and drawing standards
Recommending tools and practices to enhance drafting and modelling quality
Requirements
5+ years' experience in engineering, manufacturing, or heavy industry
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
Experience with 3D modelling and visualisation tools
Solid understanding of mechanical / fabrication / design principles
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Strong visual communication skills
A current NZ Class 1 Driver's Licence
Nice to have :
Familiarity with ISO standards
Experience producing installation visuals or animations
Knowledge of estimating or quoting workflows
