About the role

This Global Category Manager (GCM) position is best suited to a creative-thinking procurement professional who has strong commercial acumen , exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, comfortable challenging the status quo and a natural ability to lead and drive value creation across a complex Stakeholder network.

Tasked with strategizing, creating and delivering value across the Instore Experience and General & Professional Services category, this diverse role will incorporate working closely with the business in various countries around the world to understand needs and develop joint regional and global category strategies a, as well as supplier relationship management and leadership of cross-functional stakeholder groups.

Reporting to the Indirect Procurement Manager the GCM will :

Lead collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure the supplier qualification process is rigorous and best in class supplier solutions are selected

Lead, create and maintain visible Category strategies aligned to business requirements

Lead and manage commercial Supplier relationships for the Category

Conduct category benchmarking exercises and present findings and strategies to key stakeholders up as far as C-Suite

Partner with key stakeholders in providing commercial support

Be comfortable in utilizing AI to enhance the value Procurement can add to the Category.

This is where you come in

You will be an experienced leader with a minimum of 5 year's proven in-depth procurement experience with :

Strong business acumen and commercial skills with a demonstrated knowledge of value creation strategies

Superb stakeholder management and influencing skills

Be ing adaptable and comfortable under pressure; able to effectively cope with change and 'shift gears' easily

Be ing self-starting and delivery-focused; naturally curious with a high measure of drive, energy, and engagement

Being skilled in creating cost modelling and selling ideas to senior leaders

A tertiary qualification ideally in Supply Chain, Procurement or Logistics is desirable.
