We are seeking an outstanding, collaborative and relationships-focused Director of Sports to lead and manage the school's sports programme.
This is a key leadership role responsible for promoting student participation in sport, fostering excellence, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality sports programmes that reflect the values and aspirations of Kaipara College.
The Director of Sports will work closely with staff, students, parents, coaches, and external providers to create an inclusive, competitive, and well-organised sporting environment which encourages participation and excellence in sport.
The role requires strategic thinking with strong leadership, organisational and communication skills, and a passion for youth development, through sport.
The Director of Sports will be a New Zealand registered teacher with a range of knowledge, experience and attributes, such as :
leadership and strategy
staff and coach management
student support and development
budgeting and administration
The role will also include a teaching component.
