We are a PB4L school and take a trauma-informed practice approach to relationship building, ensuring all tamariki feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.Situated on the beautiful Hauraki Plains, Turua is just a 10-minute drive from both Thames and Ngatea, and 15 minutes from Paeroa – making us easily accessible while retaining our warm country school feel.We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic teacher to join our dedicated team in 2026.The person we are looking for will be : A team player who brings a positive, can-do attitude.Someone who builds caring, respectful relationships with all tamariki and whanau.A lifelong learner who embraces being an akonga themselves.A teacher who enjoys creating fun, engaging learning where children feel valued and inspired.Someone passionate about education who can adapt the curriculum to meet diverse needs.Desirable skills (but not essential) : Passion for science / STEM.Interest in environmental education and / or garden to table.Familiarity with the Better Start literacy approach (BLSA).
