Sound curriculum knowledge, highly effective classroom management skills and a willingness to take an active part in school life are all essential attributes, along with the ability to foster and maintain positive relationships with families, whanau and colleagues.A strong background in effective teaching in literacy and maths is crucial.

Ideally applicants will be familiar with and / or trained in the BSLA programme and Numicon maths.
