You're calm under pressure, confident in your nursing skills, and ready to help provide a high standard of care for animals in need.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality vet nursing care to animals under SPCA's careSupport SPCA veterinarians with treatments, anaesthetics, and surgical proceduresMonitor animal health and wellbeing, maintaining accurate clinical recordsPrepare surgical environments and maintain best practices in hygiene and safetySupport foster carers and volunteers with animal-related guidanceHelp implement enrichment plans and shelter medicine practicesPromote and support SPCA values, policies, and animal welfare initiativesSkills & ExperienceFully qualified vet nurse with experience in clinical practiceStrong knowledge of animal handling, welfare, and veterinary proceduresAbility to manage emotional situations and make sound decisions under pressureExcellent communication and teamwork skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and clinical record-keeping systemsFull, clean NZ driver's licenceSPCA PURRRKSAt SPCA, working with purpose is just the beginning.
