Aorere College is looking to appoint an experienced Tongan language teacher who is fluent in Lea Faka Tonga and has a deep understanding of Tongan culture and protocols. All candidates must be confident in teaching all year levels including the specific Level 3 Achievement Standards for Lea Faka Tonga, including both internal and external assessments.
This is a full-time, permanent position that will commence at the beginning of the 2026 academic school year. Applicants with a New Zealand teaching registration are encouraged to apply. Please state other subject strengths.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086 depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once the role is confirmed.
