Te Kura Kohine o Ahuriri - Napier Girls' High School sits upon Mataruahou, overlooking Ahuriri, Napier, and provides education for students in Y9-13.

Our kura is one of the oldest in Aotearoa for kohine, young women.

Napier Girls' High School is seeking a dynamic and inspiring Head of Learning Area for Mathematics, to lead our team of experienced and dedicated kura mahita.

Our ideal candidate will have :

Leadership experience within a school or similar environment

A strong understanding of NCEA, numeracy and an awareness of upcoming changes

Exceptional teaching practice and knowledge, with a commitment to meeting diverse academic needs within our kura

Commitment to culturally responsive practice

Experience in using data to inform practice and a commitment to raising student achievement

Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
