Overview

Session facilitator - Tamahere Playcentre. Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to : 0.1, Start Date : 20 / 10 / 2025, End Date : 02 / 04 / 2026. To allow centre whānau to work through education with the hope to be able to self license by the end of term 3.

Playcentre Aotearoa is a well known and loved ECE organisation with over 80 years of supporting parents to take the lead in their children’s learning through play. Playcentre operates over 400 Playcentres throughout the country.

Tamahere Playcentre is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic session facilitator to join our well-resourced and vibrant Playcentre community. You will work alongside our members and tamariki to guide session activities, facilitate learning using child-led play and positive guidance, support planning and assessment for learning and positively support the Playcentre education programme. You will be a leader who encourages others to thrive; you will model Playcentre philosophy and good practice while supporting whānau to gain confidence to have a go themselves.

Days and hours

Monday–Friday 9am–12.30pm. This is a fixed-term position ending 17 December.

The ideal candidate will

• Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher
• Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to achieve this.
