About the Role
With 28 operating theatres across two sites, we give our staff the opportunity to work with the best and experience elective and acute perioperative services. As Registered Anaesthetic Technicians, you will be providing quality patient care and work as an integral part of the team delivering Anaesthesia to patients over a wide variety of specialties. Specialties include general surgery including vascular and bariatric, orthopaedics including major spines, obstetrics, gynaecology, plastics, burns, urology, maxillofacial, ORL / ENT and remote site anaesthesia in our MRI, CT, interventional radiology and cardiac catheter lab.
About the Team / Service / Location
Our team supports and works across both the Middlemore and Manukau Health Park sites approximately 20 minutes’ drive between each or you can use the staff shuttle. The acute and elective care services of Middlemore Hospital with 14 operating theatres, two procedure room and remote anaesthesia sites provides multidisciplinary care for the people of Counties Manukau, regionally and nationally in some specific specialties with 24 hour 7 days a week operating theatre coverage. At Manukau Health Park there are 10 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms and 78 inpatient beds with a further 4 theatres nearing completion. Manukau Health Park provides day surgery services and elective and acute arranged surgery for patients who are not expected to need access to intensive care or interventional radiology.
Our team’s goal is to provide an excellent, timely and high quality elective and acute surgical service that focuses on efficient, effective, equitable and patient focused care.
