About the Role : As a

Special Education Teacher

, you will be instrumental in delivering tailored educational experiences that empower students with diverse learning needs.

This role offers the chance to foster independence, confidence, and academic growth in a nurturing setting.

Key Responsibilities :

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual student needs.

Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families.

Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

Candidate Requirements :

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

or equivalent.

Experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching.

Additional training or qualifications in SEN are advantageous.

To work with GSL Education as a Special Education Teacher, you should :

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.

Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.

Please be advised that this role requires strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
