About the Role
We have an opportunity for a senior nurse to join our Continence Community services. The responsibilities of this advanced practice nursing role will include the focus on care delivery for adults, with continence issues, and a consultancy service for staff across all services within Waitemata and primary health care environment. You will also provide a consultative service for community and specialist services
This role provides in-depth patient assessments, care planning, prescribing of consumables and formal and informal education and participation in quality programs. The successful candidate will provide high-level clinical expertise in all areas of continence management. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team working closely with the District Nursing Service and be part of a supportive and cohesive team of Nurse Specialists across community sites.
About the Team / Service / Location
This role is based on the North Shore. We are a team that works at pace, with passion, vision and intent. Our Clinical Nurse Specialist role is pivotal to our success and will be expected to engage fully with the whole team.
About you
The ideal candidate will be a Nurse Specialist in Continence or a Level 4 Registered Nurse with a current portfolio, and a minimum of three years' district nursing experience including contemporary current practice in the management of continence care.
As you will be relating to patients and staff at all levels, you will need to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will be able to quickly establish relationships across multiple teams displaying Waitematas organisational values.
In addition, you are working towards or have completed a post-graduate diploma relevant to the role. Further support will be provided to further develop advanced practice skills.
