Retail Shop Assistant

We are a very busy Fruit and Veggie Shop located in West Auckland.

We are relooking for a Retail Shop Assistant.

It is a Full-time role working a minimum of 30 hours per week.Essential Requirements : Ability to work long and flexible rostered hours, including weekends.

Split shifts will be requiredLevel 1 or high School education.ability to lift heavy crates / weights.You will be required to perform as follows : Position Duties :

• Opening & Closing of shop
• Cashing up all tills at the end of shifts
• Serving Customers and advising them on the usage of the products
• Checking all inwards goods
• All inward goods must be processed within 24 hours and passed on to retail staff for merchandising.
• Organize display of products
• Relieving the Store Manager when required
• To assist in organizing stock take, and to be responsible for stock rotation
• Ensuring all returns are processed promptly
• Ensuring all promotion products are in store in time for the promotion to start
• Assist in setting up the promotions, marketing, and advertising material, and store specials
• Implement procedures or systems to evaluate or select suppliers and assist in the ordering of stock
• Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.
• Assist in General business planning and attending management team meetings
• Identify opportunities to reuse or recycle materials to minimize consumption of new materials, minimize waste
• Maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety standards at all timesWe will provide all the necessary training.
