Aboutthe role : We are looking for a
Senior 3D Designer
to join our EngineeringTeam, based at Kinleith Mill in Tokoroa.
Reporting to the Information Management Lead, this permanent role isideal for someone who thrives on digital innovation, technical precision, andstrategic impact.
You will play a key role in developing and maintaining digital 2D and 3Dmodels of mill sections, supporting capital and maintenance projects, andensuring the integrity of Kinleith's intellectual knowledge.
This is a chanceto lead the evolution of our digital twin capabilities and shape the future ofengineering design at one of New Zealand's largest industrial sites.
Atypical day will see you :
Developing and maintaining plant digital models and integrating with CADsystems
Supporting capital and maintenance projects through accurate draughtingand design
Collaborating with engineers and project controllers to model new ormodified plant assets
Recommending and evaluating plant scanning technologies and CAD softwareintegration
Supporting information management strategies and protecting intellectualproperty
Ensuring technical documentation is current, accessible, and compliant
Managing drawing office operations and contributing to cost-effectiveproject delivery
Tosucceed in this role, you will bring proven experience in engineeringdraughting and 3D modelling, ideally within a heavy industry environment.Demonstrate a have strong knowledge of CAD systems and digital twintechnologies, along with familiarity in plant scanning tools and integrationstrategies.
Have a customer-focused mindset and the ability to build strongrelationships with internal and external stakeholders are essential.
You willdemonstrate a solid commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuousimprovement, backed by a clear understanding of information managementprinciples and intellectual property protection.
Experience managing drawingoffice operations within budget and compliance frameworks will round out yourcapability to thrive in this position.
