Purpose of the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Hire Controller (Wellington) to take ownership of daily hire operations and grow Guardian Civil’s hire business across the Lower North Island.

This role is hands-on — you’ll be responsible for ensuring our Wellington Hire operations run smoothly, equipment is maintained and presentable, and customers receive excellent service every time.

• Hire Operations & Logistics : Oversee daily hire operations, including equipment management, logistics, record‑keeping, and stock control to ensure safe, efficient, and organised workflows (deliveries and forklift operation).
• Customer Service & Business Development : Manage customer relationships and drive business growth by overseeing orders, sales opportunities, quotes, and delivery, while ensuring prompt resolution of service or logistics issues.
• Administration & Quality : Oversee administrative and system processes, maintain accurate data, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
