• About the Role
• We are seeking a Specialist Anaesthetist to join the Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Management at Bay of Plenty – Hauora a Toi.

This full-time, permanent position is primarily based at Whakatane Hospital, with a commitment to supporting services across the region – including Tauranga Hospital when necessary.In this role, you will contribute to a full spectrum of anaesthesia service delivery including care for all age groups, acute and after-hours services, obstetric anaesthesia, and pain management.

You will be joining a department that is actively growing and committed to delivering high-quality, equitable care for a diverse population of over 276,000 people across the Bay of Plenty.

Known for its friendly team culture and regionally connected service delivery, the department works closely with Tauranga Hospital to ensure coverage, quality, and continuity across the district.
