Unit Coordinator – Registered Nurse

Location : Upper Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand.

Employment Type : Full Time (32+ hours per week). Application Closes : 19 Nov 2025.

About This Role

St Joseph’s Lifecare is a care home with hospital care situated in Upper Hutt. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join as a Unit Coordinator.

Responsibilities

Provide high-level clinical leadership and support to clinical and care staff.
Ensure delivery of the highest standard of care to residents.
Mentor others and develop and monitor care plans.
Carry out clinical assessments and act as a trusted liaison between families, GPs, and other stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

Current Registered Nurse with a valid APC.

Demonstrated experience leading clinical and non-clinical staff to service excellence.

Strong ability to delegate, provide direction, and support others.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to effectively prioritise and manage a changing workload.
