Te Whanau Tupu Ngatahi o Aotearoa - Playcentre Aotearoa is a well known and loved Early Childhood organisation with over 80 years of supporting parents to take the lead in their children's learning through play.
Playcentre operates over 400 Playcentres throughout the country and has just over 700 staff members who are employed in a number of roles.
Mairangi Bay Playcentre are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Big Kids Facilitator to join our well-resourced and vibrant Playcentre Community.
You will work alongside our members and tamariki to guide session activities, facilitate learning using child led play and positive guidance, support the writing of learning stories and positively support the Playcentre education programme.
Purpose of the position :
To plan and run Big Kids session, ensuring the session runs smoothly for children (aged between 3 and 6 years old), and ensuring parents are supported in their role as Kaiako and children's needs are catered for.
This position focuses on ensuring big kids' sessions are run safely, to extend play and develop children's learning potential, and to better cater to older preschool children.

Start date : 8 October 2025
Days & hours :
Wednesday 9 : 00am – 2 : 00pm (including 1 hour non-contact time).
This is a permanent position during term time only.
The ideal candidate will :
Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher.
Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this.

Knowledge of ECE regulations
Ability to use technology
