Class 5 Truck Driver - Auckland & Whangarei TDL NZ Ltd

Overview

TDL (NZ) LTD is a transport business specialising in container and general freight transport. We run a modern fleet of trucks and trailers.

Role

We are seeking to employ a Class 5 Chipliner driver who would be based in either Whangarei or Auckland. This role is a permanent full-time position. You will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, usually Monday to Friday. However, given the nature of the position, you may be expected to work on weekends, with a maximum of 70 hours per week.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• A current Class 5 Drivers Licence with tipping experience
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience driving Class 5 and demonstrate that you can operate both auto and manual gear boxes.
• Experience within the New Zealand domestic transport Industry.
• Experience transporting dairy products would be advantageous.
• Be physically fit (some loads are required to be restrained with chains).
• Be a strong team player.
• Awareness of all current Health and Safety requirements.
• Be punctual and show flexibility in your work hours.
• Be prepared to stay away from home (if required).
