Overview
Wesley Community Action is looking for an experienced Tenancy Services Advisor to join our Housing Team. This role is central to supporting our tenants, ensuring their homes are safe and sustainable, and that Wesley meets its legal and compliance responsibilities as a social housing provider.
Responsibilities
- manage tenancy agreements, rent collection, arrears, and bond processes
- carry out inspections, ensure Healthy Homes Standards are met, and address tenancy issues
- support tenants with information, referrals, and advocacy to help sustain tenancies
- balance enforcement responsibilities with tenant wellbeing, ensuring fair and respectful outcomes.
- Because every tenant\'s situation is different, the mahi will look different for each household. The role requires someone who can adapt, problem-solve, and support tenants with dignity and respect, while also upholding Wesley\'s responsibilities as a landlord.

have proven knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act, Healthy Homes Standards, and compliancebring experience in resolving rent arrears, managing Tribunal cases, and navigating tenancy issuesbe relationship-focused and skilled at working with tenants from diverse backgroundshave experience working alongside whānau who face social or financial challengesbe confident managing detailed tenancy records and reporting requirementshold a full driver\'s license and have strong computer skills.We can offer you
