Our team see every aspect of the hospitality industry, whilst gaining a unique experience that develops their career, and can be transferred when they are ready for the next exciting adventure.Our Maintenance team is a key to ensuring guests have a comfortable room to go back to after a day of exploring the unique outdoor environment, or to simply relax in a peaceful and beautiful part of the world.We are looking for a multi-skilled builder to join the maintenance team on a permanent and help maintain both interiors and exteriors throughout our 250 guest rooms in the Hermitage complex, along with our 150 staff accommodation rooms, as well as the surrounding support buildings and grounds.
This is a varied and fast-paced role with a mix of proactive and reactive work, in a fun, skilled, enthusiastic, and diverse team of all ages and mixed nationalities; not to mention a location and work site like no other.What you will be doingMaintaining the interior and exterior fixtures of the hotel, lodge, motels and staff accommodations to hotel standardsGeneral, planned, and project tasks across our property portfolioOperating and maintaining all tools and machinery as outlined in department SOPsPlanning and prioritizing jobs to ensure time limits are metEnsuring a high standard of health, safety, and hygiene is maintainedCarrying out any other general maintenance duties as directedWhat you will bring to the roleExperience as a builder and able to action general maintenance.Prior experience in commercial or residential propertyA thorough understanding of Health and Safety, including site managementA confident and safe driver, you hold a full clean NZ Driver's license or international equivalentA can-do attitude and a willingness to learnFriendly, outgoing, and professional, with excellent communication skillsFlexible, adaptable, and able to prioritizeA strong desire to strive for excellenceThe role and benefitsFulltime, permanent position, minimum 80 hours per fortnight, typically working 7am - 5pm.Role is roster based, including weekends, and on-call rostersPay range is $
