Job Description
Reporting to the Business and Performance Lead, you will be responsible for providing unit level business administration support across the group.
The role supports the Transport team; however as a Business Administrator you are responsible to provide support to other units as and when required.
The opportunity
This is a fixed-term opportunity until June
Key Responsibilities
Providing high-level administration support to the teams you are assigned, including email and diary management to Unit Managers / Heads of within your assigned teams, purchasing, financial transactions, and other key administrative tasks.
Provide operational liaison between the teams you are assigned and other teams within the group and wider council.
Coordinate meeting agendas and minutes and ensure that the teams are delivering on key timeframes associated with Group and Council reporting deadlines.
Provide a quality customer service experience (internal and external) that supports our outcome of 'our customers are our biggest advocate.
Ensure that team policies and processes are in place and are regularly reviewed.
Ensure training and development registers are kept up to date.
Assist with the co-ordination of actions in the Audit register and keep updated.
Ensure business continuity plans are reviewed and updated regularly.
Qualifications
5+ years' relevant business administration experience or similar, with emphasis on finance, quality, and improvement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence in other software tools.
Ability to effectively prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders (internal and external).
Ability to operate independently, anticipate requirements, and monitor workload.
Ability to work with ambiguity.
Advanced written communication and presentations.
Financial and purchasing skills.
Salary
Circa $70K dependent on skills and experience.
