We have an exciting opportunity for a learning support coordinator to join our Junior School team.

We seek a passionate person who will be able to :

Strengthen teachers' capability to support all learners

Identify and support planning for diverse learning needs

While not a teaching role, it requires experienced educators who can effectively engage with teachers to enhance inclusive practices.

Work across Maori and English medium education in Y1–8.

We believe relationships are at the heart of all we do and we want a kaiako who is committed to this relational approach.

Purpose

LSCs build teacher capability to support all learners by identifying and planning for diverse learning needs.

While not a classroom teaching role, it requires experienced educators who can influence practice, build strong partnerships, and lead inclusive approaches.

Key responsibilities will include :

Strengthen inclusive teaching practices and support for learners.

Build strong relationships with kaiako, parents, whanau, and communities.

Work with leadership teams to ensure equitable access to learning support.

Collaborate with Ministry teams, agencies, and other professionals.

Support learners and their families to understand and access services.

Requirements

Registered teacher with a current practising certificate.

Experience supporting students with learning support needs.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Ability to work at a leadership level and influence practice.

Commitment to culturally responsive practice and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
