Full Time Cafe Chef

About the roleWe are seeking a talented Full Time Cafe Chef to join our team at RedKitchen cafe and Number Three cafe in Te Awamutu, Waikato.

As a full-time role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide range of delicious cafe-style meals and snacks, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

The role will also be responsible for baking and making cabinet items alongside two other chefs.This role will be 4 days at Number Three cafe and 1 day at RedKitchen cafe covering days off.

Please note this role does include weekends.What you'll be doingPreparing and cooking a variety of cafe-style meals, including hot and cold dishes, using fresh, high-quality ingredients.Ensuring all menu items are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.Assisting with menu planning and development, providing input on new recipe ideas.Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.Providing excellent customer service and responding to customer requests and feedback.Mentoring and training junior kitchen staff as required.What we're looking forMinimum 2 years' experience as a Cafe Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.Proven expertise in preparing a wide variety of cafe-style dishes, including both hot and cold items.Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.Excellent time management and multitasking skills to handle the demands of a busy cafe environment.Passion for using fresh, high-quality ingredients to create delicious and visually appealing meals.Ability to work well in a team and provide excellent customer service.Relevant cookery qualification or certification (desirable)What we offerAt RedKitchen cafe and Number Three cafe we pride ourselves on creating a positive and supportive work environment for our team.
