Equipment Technician / Diesel Mechanic

The Opportunity

This position comes at an exciting time for our Invercargill Branch as CablePrice, a long-standing Hitachi construction equipment supplier, has been appointed as the New Zealand importer and distributor for Tigercat forestry and off-road industrial machinery. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Equipment Technician / Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated team. This role is ideal for a mechanical trades professional committed to providing quality, efficient, and accurate service and maintenance, and who is willing to go above and beyond in this critical support role.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following :

• Strong Health and Safety commitment, as it is our top priority at CablePrice. We prioritize looking after ourselves and each other.
• Heavy Diesel and / or relevant Automotive Qualification
• Prior experience with Tigercat equipment is advantageous
• Mechanical capability and technical skills, including diagnosing faults and servicing heavy commercial vehicles
• Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills to resolve complex issues
• Confidence in computer literacy and a customer-focused mindset
• A ‘can do’ attitude that remains resilient under pressure – like our machines, you are tough, reliable, and productive
