The Opportunity

Overview

This position comes at an exciting time for our Invercargill Branch as CablePrice (long standing Hitachi construction equipment supplier) has just been appointed as the New Zealand importer and distributor for Tigercat forestry and off-road industrial machinery. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Equipment Technician / Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated team. This position would suit a mechanical trades professional who will provide quality, efficient, and accurate service and maintenance outcomes, and isn’t afraid of going above and beyond in this critical support role.

Responsibilities

The Equipment Technician / Diesel Mechanic will perform service and maintenance tasks to support Tigercat forestry and off-road industrial machinery, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and accuracy. This role requires a hands-on technical approach and a willingness to go above and beyond in our day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Health and Safety Commitment, it is our number one priority here at CablePrice. We look after ourselves and look after each other
• Heavy Diesel and / or relevant Automotive Qualification
• Prior experience with Tigercat equipment would be advantageous
• Mechanical capability and technical skills; diagnosing faults and servicing heavy commercial vehicles
• Excellent diagnostic ability with analytical thinking to navigate the complex issues that come up in our day-to-day challenges
• Confidence in your computer literacy and a committed, customer-focused mindset
