Job DescriptionMedical Officers are conditionally or fully registered doctorsMajor Duties and ResponsibilitiesManagement of all patients under their care, including but not limited to : Active involvement in daily ward roundsOrdering and reviewing of investigations and treatmentPerforming and / or assisting in procedures and interventionsCommunicating with patients, relatives, and colleaguesObtaining informed consent for major proceduresAssisting and supervising House Officers in their teamReviewing and / or clerking all new cases in their assigned wards / teams and performing emergency treatmentUpdating and completing case records of all patients under their careAssist in the running of Specialist Outpatient ClinicsCounselling patients who wish to be discharged against medical adviceWriting medical reports and signing death certificatesParticipating in department training activities and meetingsJob RequirementsGraduation from one of the medical schools recognized by the Singapore Medical CouncilCompletion of housemanshipHigh standards of professionalism and ethical conductGood communication skills
