We're looking for a skilled and experienced Marine Electrical Superintendent to oversee the planning and delivery of electrical maintenance across our marine assets.
This is a leadership role for someone who combines technical expertise with a passion for team development and operational excellence.
In this role, you'll lead and mentor the electrical maintenance team, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of scheduled and reactive maintenance across RealNZ's marine fleet.
You'll provide subject-matter expertise in marine electrical systems, support fault diagnosis and resolution, and ensure compliance with classification society and maritime safety standards.
You'll collaborate across sites to align maintenance activities, supervise contractors, and contribute to project planning and implementation.
You'll also play a key role in continuous improvement, resource management, and be available for urgent maintenance needs as part of the on-call roster.
What You'll Bring
Current EWRB practising licence (Electrical Engineer or Electrical Inspector)
Relevant qualification in electrical engineering or marine electrical / electronic systems
Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical or marine maintenance, including team leadership
Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, VMS / PMS platforms, and classification society standards (Lloyd's, DNV, ABS)
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team
Effective problem-solving, prioritisation, and communication skills
