Montessori Classroom Teacher

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The arts

We are seeking an experienced teacher to join our thriving Montessori classrooms.

Prior Montessori training is preferred but not necessary as professional development of Montessori education would be provided.

There is also an expectation that the successful candidate would be involved with activities within our wider Montessori community.

Our tamariki are at the centre of everything we do and they deserve teachers who are passionate and committed to providing educational opportunities that are grounded in best practice.

To ensure we are doing the best for our tamariki our kaiako need to be learners, flexible, resilient and willing to work collaboratively.

Successful applicants will have :

The passion and desire to work outside the mainstream, yet within the NZC

A commitment to develop your knowledge of Montessori pedagogy

Knowledge of the NZ Curriculum

A sense of humour and fun.

Someone who is personally driven to be part of a different educational pedagogy.
