Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher.
Subjects include English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The arts.The role is in our Y4–8 collaborative learning environment as part of a team of three (either a Y4–5 class or a Y6–7–8 class).
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate effectively within a three-person teaching team in a Y4–8 setting.Demonstrate strong pedagogical knowledge and classroom practice.Work with colleagues to plan, implement and assess learning in line with the New Zealand Curriculum.Qualifications and requirementsCertificated teacher status (trained and registered).
Experience as an enthusiastic, effective classroom practitioner.Familiarity with Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the New Zealand Curriculum.Willingness to work collaboratively within a school community.Salary and termsThe terms and conditions, including base salary, are set by the Primary Teachers Collective Agreement.
The base salary for trained and registered teachers ranges from $61,329 to $103,086, depending on qualifications and experience.
