McConnell Dowell is delivering some of New Zealand's most exciting infrastructure projects, and our Dunedin team is growing.
We're on the lookout for a detail-driven Document Controller to help us stay organised and efficient as we deliver work that connects and strengthens local communities.
About The Role
As our Document Controller, you'll play a key role in managing, distributing, and maintaining all project documentation.
You'll ensure that drawings, reports, and technical documents are up to date, properly stored, and easily accessible for the team.
You'll also support communication and coordination between stakeholders, helping keep projects on track and compliant.
Reporting to National Quality Manager of New Zealand, the Document Controller is responsible for :
Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the project software for document and correspondence control and distribution.
Responsible for the document retention, retrieval and filing of the project documentation.
Responsible for the issuance and distribution of documents and maintenance of relevant registers.
Co-ordinates with Managers, Engineers and Superintendents on documentation control.
Maintains the Document Control System for the overall project.
What you'll need
Competent user of in-house software, including Aconex, CMO and SharePoint with working knowledge of wider applications.
A minimum of three years work experience in a similar role within a project environment and within the civil construction industry.
Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a project environment, with a good understanding of office administration processes and practices.
Ability to work with electronic management systems and ability to adapt quickly to new software.
Demonstrated ability to deliver quality work with a high level of accuracy under minimum supervision and work autonomously within a team environment to ensure deadlines are met.
High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interface, interact and work with the various project areas, Management team and external parties at Project level.
Excellent skills in multi-tasking, prioritization and time management within a demanding environment.
A preparedness to learn and adopt new work practices, systems and procedures.
Qualities of self-motivation, passion, high level of efficiency, a proactive nature, desire for learning, professional demeanor and respect for confidentiality.
