He whakamarama mo te turanga mahi | About the roleOur Southern Water Supply unit covers water treatment plant operations at our Tuakau Plant.We have an opportunity for a Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our close-knit team.
This is a role well suited to someone who is energetic, practically minded, and who is looking for a career and stability.As a key member of our team, you'll provide our customers with exceptional service and ensure the safe, effective operation of our plant.
As a Water Treatment Plant Operator, you will monitor and review the treatment plant process performance.
You will be involved in work ranging from manual tasks to operating computerised treatment systems.
Carrying routine plant operational checks and adjustments to ensure DWQAR complianceKeeping adequate recordsPerforming standard operating procedures and receiving chemicalsAssisting in the development and review of standard operating proceduresParticipating in an out-of-hours callout roster providing emergency coverage for the water treatment plants within the Southern area (typically involves night and weekend work one week every month)Nga pukenga e rapu nei matou | About youIn this role you will bring :Experience in data analysis, plant processes, and report preparationFamiliarity with Microsoft Office tools, asset databases, maintenance schedulingProven knowledge of safety in and around water and the ability to swim 50mA Certificate or Diploma in Water Treatment would be beneficialA full NZ Driver's License.A can-do attitude!A technical or trades qualification in a Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation discipline would be desirable.
