You will be supporting people with intellectual disabilities living in their own homes to achieve their goals and aspirations.This is meaningful work where you can be creative and make every day interesting in ways that are important to others.

This can include helping them to : Manage and learn daily living skills, such as cooking, cleaning and budgetingKeep in touch with family and friends as well as make new connectionsJoin community activities (e.g. sports and art)Look for a job and navigate employmentManage social issues and access relevant community servicesMake good decisions and live a healthy lifestylePrevious relevant experience is preferred, but more importantly, we are looking for someone with varied life experience and an open-minded attitude.

You should also have : The skills to build good relationships with the people we support and help them make good decisions for themselvesThe ability to work independently and problem solve in complex situationsExcellent communications skills and the ability to share information in a way that can be easily understoodComfortable and proficient in using technologyYou will need to be physically fit to support in a variety of activitiesIn possession of a Full NZ driver's licenceNou te rourou | What's in it for you?
