We are looking for an enthusiastic

Full-Time Sous Chef

to work at our

Defence site in Waiouru.

You will be working across 7 days a week, availability to work over weekends will be a requirement.

assist with ordering and menu development

able to work unsupervised and also in a team environment

assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies

This position is all go.

On one day you will need to be able to produce meals in large volume whilst on another serving an la carte menu, another a five star dinner or regimental dinner and always to strict timelines.

You will need to be flexible in the areas you work and on occasion take the responsibility for running the kitchen.

Our ideal candidate will have :

at least 3 years' proven work experience in a similar role,

bulk cooking and fine dining experience,

will hold food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 and 168).

will hold a full driver's license

Bakery experience is not essential but is a bonus.
