Job Description
We're looking for a confident and customer-focused Receptionist to join our Front Office team.
As the welcoming face of the hotel, you'll ensure every guest enjoys a smooth and memorable experience from arrival through to departure.
What You'll Do
Welcome guests from around the world with warmth and professionalism
Manage check-in and check-out processes accurately and efficiently
Handle payments, guest information, and reservations with attention to detail
Respond to guest queries and requests, providing local knowledge and solutions
Promote hotel facilities and loyalty programmes to enhance guest experience and satisfaction
Work closely with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Reservations to ensure smooth daily operations
Safely manage guest property and maintain correct documentation and storage procedures
Uphold brand standards, presentation, and service expectations at all times
This part-time position offers a minimum of 16 hours per week and a pay rate of $
Shifts are rostered across mornings, afternoons, weekends, and public holidays.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a front office, reception, or customer service role (hotel experience highly regarded)
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash and guest information
Confidence using computer systems and the ability to learn new software quickly
A team player with a positive attitude and passion for hospitality
Flexibility to work a rotating 7-day roster, including mornings, afternoons, weekends and public holidays
A current New Zealand Restricted or Full Driver's licence
NZ residency or holding a permanent NZ work visa (immigration visa support or sponsorship not available)
