We are looking for a motivated and high performing student to join Synlait's Category Strategy team in Christchurch from November to January.

This summer, you'll have a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that combine AI innovation with new product development in the dairy industry.

Project : Development of an AI assisted platform mapping insights to Synlait capabilities and NPD concepts

What you'll be working on

Develop a comprehensive product database of emerging ingredients, exploring their potential applications in new technologies.

These insights will inform strategies for incorporating ingredients into Synlait's facilities, with a focus on understanding their functional applications.

Build a comprehensive pricing database for nutritional products to support a deeper understanding of the competitive market landscape and inform the development of new product concepts.

Develop an AI based tool to generate insights that shape our R&D pipeline.

Qualifications

This project requires students completing practical work, or current 3rd or 4th year students in the Computer or Data Science fields.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about AI and innovation, highly skilled in Microsoft Office, and eager to apply their expertise in a dynamic business environment.

Curious about the dairy industry and Synlait's operations

Eager to learn, with a proactive mindset

Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly

A sharp eye for detail and accuracy.

Creativity and a flair for thinking outside the box
