6-month fixed term / secondment opportunity for a risk and compliance professional to join the Risk Governance & Reporting team at ASB.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Personal Banking Risk team to comply with laws, regulations, and internal policies, including advising on new initiatives and ongoing BAU risk and compliance activities.Help enhance the risk culture within Personal Banking by supporting initiatives that measure and transform it.Coordinate the Risk and Compliance Committee, improve risk reporting, and prepare meeting materials.Support the Risk team\'s strategy and planning, and help coordinate division-wide attestations and other risk initiatives.Collaborate with other teams within the broader Personal Banking Risk team and across all lines of accountability to help the business units within Personal Banking achieve their objectives in a safer and more timely way.About you / Qualifications5+ years financial services experience in risk or related disciplines.Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and proactively drive solutions.Interpersonal skills to network, influence, and relate well with peers, senior management, and internal customers.Ability to take ownership of complex tasks and deliver to outcomes while keeping stakeholders engaged.Strong written communication skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely.Effective verbal communication to relate to and influence stakeholders and convey requirements and timelines.Working for ASBASB is a values-driven organisation with a focus on its people, development opportunities, and a collaborative culture.
