## Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this roleThe Taukaea Policy team is seeking a dynamic and skilled Capability and Outcome Specialist (L2) to join our team.

  • The opportunity
  • The Capability and Outcomes Specialist (L2) will support the Programme Lead and Management Support with the prioritisation, planning, approval, and monitoring of the Policy work plan and individual policy and remedial projects.
  • In this varied role you will :
  • monitor the status of the work plan and each policy project- both a portfolio and project view
  • assist the Policy leadership team develop regular management and governance reporting that will maximise data value
  • collaborate with leaders to plan and report on performance outcomes
  • identify resource needs, interdependencies, and opportunities within Policy and across IR to deliver work plans
  • provide thought leadership on emerging trends and refining approaches to enhance customer outcomes
  • design and improve planning, performance monitoring, and reporting frameworks and tools
  • work with staff to continually improve data and process management, as well as business performance metrics.
  • Mōu - About you
  • We are looking for a Capability and Outcomes Specialist (L2) with strong quality decision-making capabilities. The ideal candidate would have previous experience with JIRA and Power BI and be able to develop and maintain planning and reporting for workforce management. Their business acumen would be well-honed, and they would also be adept at partnering and providing advice, to a range of customers.
  • To be successful in this role you will do the following :
  • Based on decision-makers' needs, provide advice and analysis to support planning and performance reporting
  • Create and deliver timely, meaningful reporting, demonstrating your workforce planning and overall decision-making capabilities
  • Using your contacts and insights, develop solutions for stakeholders to aid and enhance their decision-making
  • Manage and monitoring project outcomes, risks, and opportunities, then proactively make recommendations and deliver these to support better business outcomes
  • Build strong relationships and work in a networked manner within Policy and across IR, the ability to drive a process with a range of stakeholdersPolicy advises Government on a range of tax and social policy issues. We research and develop policy options and present policy recommendations to senior officials and ministers. We also prepare the legislation arising from those policy recommendations and support it through the legislative process.
