Data Analytics and Visualisation Specialist | HPSNZ9 November
These roles will work within a system build / implementation project team to create a cutting-edge performance system that will benefit athletes and their support teams over the upcoming Olympic cycles.We are looking for people who can operate across all areas of the analytics pipeline.
This could include data cleaning, data analysis, data visualisation, and translation.
You will need excellent problem-solving and communication skills.These roles will work collaboratively to gain a clear understanding of the diverse performance questions, and underlying data and visualisation requirements, within supported national sporting organisations.
Then, own the creation of solutions that engage stakeholders and ultimately ensure the 'right data' is available to decision makers (athletes, coaches, leaders, support staff).
You will be responsible for uncovering and validating insights which best support elite sport performance and system-wide learning.
You will be promoting opportunities to improve the efficiency, quality, and use of data across the organisation.To be successful in either role you will need : Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking skills.Experience with data tools and coding languages, such as R, R Shiny, Python, Tableau and Power BI.The ability to work collaboratively and effectively within demanding timelines.The ability to communicate to a wide range of audiences with differing technical backgrounds.Desire to continuously learn and develop in a complex and ever-changing environment.Strong affinity with elite sport and the HPSNZ missionIn addition, for the senior role we are looking for individuals with : Extensive experience working in a high-performance environment (not necessarily sporting settings) is desirableDemonstrable experience defining and upholding best practice standards regarding data analytics and data visualisationIf you have a strong and proven analytical background, are driven by improving performance, and would be proud to help our kiwi athletes gain a competitive advantage then please send in an application.
