Logistics Manager

Join a well-established and respected international business managing logistics operations across New Zealand and Australia.

Reporting to the General Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role overseeing all import, export, and local stock movements, keeping everything running smoothly from supplier to customer.

You'll lead a small, capable team of four (two in Auckland and two in Australia), ensuring that shipments arrive on time, documentation is accurate, and customers receive outstanding service.

This role suits someone who enjoys structure, detail, and building efficient processes that keep the operation tight and dependable.

What you'll be doing

Oversee logistics operations across both NZ and Australia, including freight and stock movement

Manage and develop a team of four, setting clear expectations and ensuring accountability

Handle import and export documentation and ensure compliance with requirements

Liaise daily with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customers to meet delivery timelines.

Monitor shipping schedules and keep stakeholders updated on progress or delays

Review and negotiate 3rd party contracts and freight rates to manage costs

Support the business with process improvements and general operations as needed

What you'll bring

Solid experience in freight forwarding, international shipping or logistics

Strong understanding of

import / export processes for air and sea freight

Proven leadership experience, able to coach, guide, and hold people accountable

High attention to detail and a structured, organised working style

Confidence communicating with suppliers, customers, and internal teams

Comfortable working full-time on-site in Central Auckland
