Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts, Hauora, Hangarau, Ngā Reo, Ngā Toi, Te Reo Māori, Te Reo Pākehā, Tikanga ā-iwi, Pāngarau, Pūtaiao MITA may apply as we are Level 2 immersion (bilingual)

We are looking for a fully registered teacher to join our team while our teacher is on maternity leave. There is a possibility the contract may be extended or become a permanent full-time position.

We are a small rural school located 15 minutes from Taihape, at Moawhango. We are a bilingual, Level 2 immersion school. Some fluency in te reo Māori is an advantage but not essential.

We are a small team of experienced educators who work together and support each other, some team teaching is required. We would prefer a fully registered teacher but may consider a provisionally registered applicant.

We start 2026 with approximately 30 students from Y1 to 8. We are the hub of our community and are involved in most community events. Our school is well resourced with a culture steeped in Manaakitanga, Whanaungatanga, Rangatiratanga and Kaitiakitanga, our school values. We are an IDeal Literacy School and use OxFord Maths Resources to support our Maths Programme.
