About The Role
A key member of the support team commissioning, supporting and servicing Fabrum's products and systems at Fabrum and in the field around the world.
The role includes planned installation and commissioning and scheduled maintenance plus on-demand response, diagnosis and resolution of service issues.
Role seniority is flexible to suit the skills and experience of applicants.
Key Responsibilities
Field Support
Commission (including site acceptance testing) and service systems in-field
Respond to customer service requests and resolve technical issues
Manage support cases, including any subcontracting and purchasing, and as per customer service agreements
Document faults, repairs, and service activities
Monitor in-field system performance and provide feedback to R&D to support continuous product improvement
Operations
Manage customer contact for product support cases and develop effective relationships with all stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, contractors, and internal staff
Coach and develop support capability of other teams within the business
Work closely with the Projects Team during project build and installation phases
Contribute to planning, scheduling, and logistics of product support
Mechanical engineering design to develop and improve cryogenic systems and production processes (depending on capability of applicant)
KEY COMPETENCIES
Mechanical or mechatronics engineering degree at Bachelor's level or higher
Experience with complex mechanical / mechatronic systems, including design, manufacturing / assembly, commissioning and post-sales support
Skill in hands-on assembly / servicing of complex mechanical systems with precision and adherence to engineering specifications
Capability to commission systems and resolve technical issues autonomously and in diverse / challenging environments
Communication skills to engage clearly and professionally with clients, ensuring technical information is understood and customer expectations are met
A logical and methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving system faults under pressure
Efficient planning and execution of work to meet tight project deadlines and service commitments
Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance during all field operations
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
Experience with cryogenic systems or industrial gas processing is an advantage
