Arrowtown Preschools are not-for-profit, community-based centres nurturing tamariki from 1–5 years.Our Durham St Preschool caters specifically for our older tamariki (3–5 years).

We offer a play-based, nature-rich programme inspired by Te Whariki, Te Ao Maori, and Reggio Emilia approaches, fostering confident, creative, and connected learners.Our fun and passionate team are guided by relationships, creativity, and identity – our local curriculum values that celebrate who we are and where we are.We are seeking a full-time head teacher from January

• who will provide professional and relational leadership to our teaching team.

You will ensure our philosophy and local curriculum are lived every day, supporting kaiako to create nurturing, culturally responsive, and high-quality learning environments.We're looking for someone who : Is an inspiring and supportive leader who values collaborationBuilds strong relationships with tamariki, whanau, and colleaguesModels reflective and culturally responsive practiceIdeally has a sound understanding of Te Whariki, Te Ao Maori, Reggio Emilia, and nature-based approachesHolds an ECE or Primary teaching qualification and current NZTC registration.We offer : a supportive leadership team, full pay parity, professional growth opportunities, and a warm, collegial environment in a beautiful natural setting.We would love to hear from you!
