Tokomairiro High School is seeking a passionate and capable Head of Mathematics to lead the development of our mathematics learning area. This is an exciting opportunity to guide curriculum design and pedagogy, inspire ākonga, and contribute to the continued growth of our kura.

We may be small in size, but our aspirations are anything but. Our ākonga are at the heart of everything we do, and we take pride in the strong, positive relationships we build with our students and their whānau. We are looking for a teacher who can foster a culture of high expectations, innovation, and engagement, while living our values of whakaute, haepapa, and hiranga.

The successful applicant will :

• Have a clear vision for mathematics and the ability to lead its continued development across the school.
• Demonstrate strong pedagogical practice and a commitment to improving outcomes for all learners.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, supporting and mentoring others through professional sharing and guidance.
• Be committed to positive behaviour for learning, restorative practices, and culturally responsive teaching.
• Have experience teaching mathematics to NCEA Level 3.

This role would suit an experienced teacher ready for a new challenge or someone looking to take the next step into middle leadership within a supportive and forward-focused environment.
