About the Role
Social Work Services at Christchurch Hospital are looking for an experienced health Social Worker to join our team working at the Christchurch campus. You'll be working in our Child Health department based in the Child Emergency Care Unit.
Social Work Services provide 24‑hour social work service 7 days a week, as part of a multi‑disciplinary team who take a holistic approach to patient care.
This role has a specific focus to strengthen whānau‑centred, equity‑led practice in the Emergency department and Child Emergency Care (CEC), to support the Shorter Stays in ED Health Target. The role will be required to work in partnership with Hauora Māori Kaimahi, to achieve shorter stays in ED, improve patient flow, and equitable outcomes for Māori. In this role you will :
