About the role
Totara House is a specialist Early Intervention in Psychosis Service, which works with young adults aged 18-30, who have experienced a first episode of psychosis. We are looking for a Clinical Social Worker to join our cohesive, client focused, multi-disciplinary team on a fixed term, part-time, 0.9FTE basis covering parental leave until 12th January 2027.
About You
You will need to be passionate about supporting young people from 18-30 in their recovery from psychosis. Having some understanding of Early Intervention in Psychosis will be an advantage as this client group requires more intensive engagement and assertive outreach than the general population. Totara House has a high number of Maori clients, so the successful applicant will need to work in a way that is sensitive to the needs of Maori and work in close conjunction with the Pukenga Atawhai. These are busy roles, so you'll need to be a great communicator and well organised, yet flexible enough to work within an ever-changing environment. Your ability to problem solve will serve you well.
Ideally you will also have some experience in drug and alcohol work but this is not essential.
