Our amazing teacher of many years is reducing his hours so Bruce McLaren Intermediate School isseeking a teacher with a passion for technology – hard materials.
Applicants will be an outstanding NZ registered teacher and role model.
A BMIS technology (hard materials) teacher must :
have an unwavering commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and understandlocalized cultural heritage and Matauranga Maori
be an effective communicator and build strong, high trust relationships with akonga, staff, parents / whanau and the wider community
work with emerging adolescent in a culturally diverse environment modelling cultural responsiveness and sustainability, through your professional responsibilities.
We're looking for a hands-on innovative teacher who's :
Creative and adaptable, with a passion for design, technology, and making ideas come to life.
Digitally and technically confident, skilled in modern tools and technologies.
Experienced across a wide range of machinery– from bandsaws and jigsaws to lathes, laser cutters, and 3D printers.
Committed to Health & Safety, ensuring a secure and productive workspace for all.
Engaging and inspiring, capable of sparking curiosity and enthusiasm in learners.
Versatile with materials, confidently working with wood, metal, plastic, Perspex, and glass.
Environmentally conscious, appreciating the importance of recycling and reusing materials wherever possible.
